I'm still debating between buying the super duper blu-ray or just buying the Dark Knight Trilogy Blu Ray. I own the other two on DVD, but not BR. I'm not sure what special features come on the box set, but it's only like $8 more than buying TDKR on its own.

Depends on how many times you will watch them. I'd say do the trilogy.

Blu-Ray quality is worth it. Get the trilogy.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. Seems stupid not to really. The only hitch is what kinds of special features come on the trilogy. But, at the end of the day, I don't watch the special features more than once usually. And Nolan never does a commentary so...

Doesn't the trilogy pack include all the special features from the Dark Knight Blu Ray?

Oh, does it? I have no idea.

I think I read somewhere that the features were limited. But I haven't actually looked at the thing in person. I'm not sure. Whatever. I think I've talked myself into the Trilogy.

Making my way through Disc 2 special features....

Lots of great/interesting/exciting things.

Super fucking long special on the batmobile over the years - and i mean OVER THE YEARS.... Cool though.

I keep thinking about the first Bane/Batman fight. I have had this thought about it for awhile. im not completley convinced I believe it but its a lingering thought so perhaps I just need to vomit it out to the internet.

Its an amazing sequence. Amazing scene. one that I think about. One that I cant really turn my head from when its on. Not unlike the "you cant handle the truth" scene in A Few Good Men.

Its just great.

Word.

It also blows my mind what goes in to making movies. I could not even imagine what it takes to manage such a massive project to fit a single vision. The money involved. The ideas. The people. The places. If you were handed a blank check and told to create something out of nothing - and to play with your imagination....

The management on so many levels that goes in to that....

No chance in hell I could ever learn to/or be capable of doing.

Pretty fascinating.

There's this. Not sure why it was omitted from the release.

As someone who really enjoys the Nolan Batman and yet is not versed in the Comic world of Batman...

THe first fight is so great because one really thinks Bane might KILL Batman. Maybe the rest of the film/story is about the idea of Batman carrying the city of Gotham through the coming end....

I dont know.

I'm just saying - Thats pretty sweet.

I went ahead and just got TDKR on Blu Ray. It was only $17 on Amazon. Seemed silly to spend $10 on something I already have, even if the quality is better.

I'm excited for it to get here. I haven't seen this movie since the midnight showing on opening night. And Sarah hasn't seen it at all yet.
