This movie has been on HBO a few times the last few weeks, and I've watched it like 3 times. It's pretty damn funny.

I love this movie. Steve Coogan pretty much carries the whole thing, but Catherine Keener, the Elisabeth Shue stuff, all the musical numbers, and Marschz's arguments with the little drama critic are all great. Oh, and the skates.

I thought it was pretty terrible with a funny premise and a few funny moments. It was like a really bad version of Waiting For Guffman.

And Tucson isn't nearly as bad as they made it out to be. Looked more like Casa Grande or some shithole like that.

I vaguely remember from a featurette on the DVD that Tucson didn't let them film there, for the obvious reason. IMDB says it was shot in Albuquerque.

Albuquerque has become a popular spot for movies recently. And yeah, now that I think about it, it looks just like Albuquerque in that movie.
