Voted for Walkabout, basically the Pilot is where it all started but the first reveal of Locke being in a wheelchair off island was so mind blowingly epic.. "DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO!!!!!"

When did the polar bear show up?
it was one of the first episodes, maybe the pilot in part 2?
Cause thats when i gave up on Lost. I turned to my wife and said...
"i bet this show is gonna be popular, but its just going to manipulate the audience with all sorts of random bullshit"
It was actually explained, it's only people who watched the first episode and think they know everything about the show based on it that spout off on bullshit like manipulating audiences with random bullshit.

I laughed at this, but it is true.

All of these episodes are great especially Pilot, Walkabout, and Exodus 2. I had to go with Walkabout though. The reveal of Locke being in a wheelchair was very strong.

I could be totally wrong, but I think what you might be referring to is the poll thread I started a couple years ago (with Jeff's Mod intervention) after the end of the 4th season that was 15 options of the favorite overall episode in the series to that point, but this is clearly different enough to stand alone, I think.

and Kelly you being as hardcore a fan probably know this already, but that O'Quinn wasn't aware that his character was formerly a cripple until he read the script for Walkabout (whereas all the way back at the start of the pilot he had to play that moment of a man discovering he could walk on the beach, wiggling his toes, etc).

That's what I was thinking, and it's why I see no problem with a new thread.

Yep. I remember hearing him talk about that. Pretty cool I think.
