Bell Biv Devoe - Poison

although the break at the beginning to joke about their wardrobes' seems to ruin the flow, the masters BBD take off from there. The long winter coats should have been a warning that these gentlemen mean business. They jump quickly into synchronized dancing, in their fresh work boots and bright colors the gang demonstrates what makes them a triple threat w/o hesitation. Enter Biv, Michael Bivins, starting off the rhyming of this cautionary tale of promiscuous women. Next comes Devoe, Ronnie Devoe for those of you keeping track, and his slyness is only outdone by his imposing stature. Last, but certainly not least, are the golden pipes of Ricky Bell, taking you into the chorus. TAKE THAT AUTOTUNE, this guy took everything he knew from his days in New Edition and dropped some musical genius on your ass. the rest as they say is history, but this video is clearly a testament to raw power, emotion and above all, classiness.

first let me say this with all seriousness, this song just totally gets my blood pumping, although it took me forever to figure out the lyrics (sometimes i can be stubborn and want to do things on my own than rely on the internet)

in the video, it can be assumed there is an old stale marriage where the couple are only together because they dont know how to be apart. the husband has a mistress he pays for on the side that takes control the way his wife wont. it can also be surmised (obviously) that the husband is in complete control of his life due to his closet and how everything has its space and is neatly folded. most men and women who are like this do enjoy reversing roles and having someone else in control.

the band plays the antagonistic group that is looking to possibly blackmail the husband, since the lady who takes control of the hubby through sex is reporting to them.

at the end of the video you are given another plot point. murder for hire. the wife knows the hubby is a cheater, has tried a marriage counselor and that too failed, so she hired the band to kidnap and kill him.

now, as far as the song goes, while many in the states dont know the song, im willing to bet more than a few can say, OMG thats the song lucy was killed to and carter was stabbed
