I was having this discussion with a friend, about how I worried the plot could be kinda crappy. She then pointed out the entire movie could be Johnny Depp drunk and acting crazy and it would still be a great film. I quickly agreed.

Something to do with Jack Sparrow attempting to rid himself of the davey jones curse and then this situation interfering with the marriage between the characters that Olrando Bloom and Keira Knightley are playing

Not really hyped for this one at all. The first one really disappointed me....I can't believe Depp got snubbed for 'Blow' but got an Oscar nomination for POTC.

Am I the only person that doesn't really like these movies? Seeing Johnny Depp in a Bruckheimer pic after all those art house years is kind of a letdown.

I could watch Depp as a drunken pirate, with no other cast, for 2 hours, and would still be highly amused.

Don't get me wrong, he's really good at it, it just doesn't interest me that much. I mean, I went to see the first one just cause he was in it and it was alright, but I wish he was doing other, better things.

other better things like secret window and finding neverland? give me a break. mark my words, when it's all said and done this will be one of the best movie trilogies ever. hard to do better than that.
