I gotta say, this is looking much more faithful than I imagined it would. I'll definatly see it opening night. And

*SPOILERS*

I've read that, regardless of recent events in London, the 'Viking Funeral' will still be in the film. Awesome!

*END SPOILERS*

Anyone else getting excited about this one?

I'd be more excited if Alan Moore wasn't so pissed - if he's not happy with it, then I don't know if I want to "support" it.

It's a quandry of sorts....I suppose. I want to be excited, but I respect Alan Moore....

Alan Moore is pissed off at EVERYTHING, though. That's just how he is.

Just by this trailer, I'm almost sure it won't be another From Hell, LXG, or Constantine. It won't be the book, of course, but hopefully it'll be worth seeing.

Yeah, but come on, that's like saying "Another adaptation from a novel?"

This happens to be from a comic book, but it's not a superhero movie. When you get down to it, V is a terrorist. But he's a really cool terrorist.

Yeah, but still as you stated it's from a comic book. How may have we already had so far this year? Batman, Fantastic Four, and now V For Vendetta.

Don't forget Sin City. And Batman was the most entertaining movie I've seen this year, and Sin Ciy isn't far behind. Nothing wrong with good comic book adaptations. They sure beat the hell out of video game movies.

i don't think there has ever been a good movie adaptation of a video game.

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as "V." Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V urges his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself--and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption

Yeah, I can't really say it looks good. I still might give it a chance though.
