I wasn't as into it the past couple weeks as you've been but last night was pretty darn good. I was all jumping to conclusions that Roland would become a surrogate for Jimmy; so much for that. I liked the kid too was figuring he's last a few episodes at least. Van Alden's back in next week's episode if the preview is to be believed. Always enjoy his scenes. Actually the only character lately I'm not looking forward to seeing is Margaret.

I'm kind of getting sick of this flip-flopping between the Nucky "I-have-nightmares-I'm-lonely-please-hold-me" Thompson to Nucky "I-kill-charming-young-characters-when-you-cross-me" Thompson.
Still a great show...but that's just kinda bothering me.

But that's kind of the point of this whole season.

ok...i think i see where this is going. he's gonna be the full-fledged demented gangster until it starts getting to him in the form of visions of bullet-holed faces and weirdo dream scenarios.

Interesting episode last night. I'm wondering if Rothstein even knows about the plot on Rosetti, or whether Nucky, Owen, and Luciano tried to take care of things without him. If the latter, Rothstein may have the war in New York that he wanted to avoid.

I was thinking Rothstein ordered the hit, since he wrote down the room number at their meeting?

I'm with you on that one. The AV Club is too.
