he is almost 83. he didn't seem too out of it on real time friday night, and he sure hasn't in his most recent writings..

and, uhh, i don't think you're too young to know of him. he's a pretty well known author.

Funny how every other word out of his mouth was "uh" or "um" and then he made fun of how the president cant speak.

i dunno, maybe i'm biased, but i thought he was pretty good. he didn't make up any new words at the very least.

I thought he was great, he still has that edge and though there were noticeable pauses in his speech as he slowly gathered his thoughts I'll be respectable to the man and let that slide I mean, damn the man is 83. About making fun of the president’s inability to speak, it is one thing to pause to gather one’s self and a completely different story when a person lacks a sound understanding of sentence structure and diction.

They mentioned Estonia. :heartbeat: I have a bunch of relatives there and I'm proud of it. But the food does suck. They eat sandwiches for dinner with cheese and cucumbers.

Wait, I'm missing the whole point. How did you guys like it? Any of you catch it? I think it's cool to have a live band on the show to mix it up with authors and music.

I know there have been other threads about particular guest, etc, on the Daily Show, but my search turned up none that just talks about the show and how delicious it is.

This was in my email from them today:

Jon on the Bush twins' trip to Argentina:

"Apparently their trip has caused what's known as chaos to the point where according to abcnews.com the American embassy and many Argentinean officials have strongly suggested that the twins return to America. Just to repeat: Argentina, former safe haven for Nazi war criminals, is drawing the line at the Bush twins."

i am going to two next month and was wondering what they are like. i mean do you go in they do a show and leave, or do they do multiple takes? was looking to see what the experience was like.

Generally, someone comes out to warm up the audience and brief them on what will happen, then the host comes out and takes questions or tells a few jokes, then the show starts. It usually runs pretty smoothly from there, not a lot--if any--multiple takes of anything. After the show, you're herded out like so many cattle.

Ever since they launched the new site, I can't get the damn videos to play. It just loads the "player" and then goes right to showing the final frame of the video with the options to watch the next video or replaying the current one. If I hit "replay", it just does the same thing: shows the end of the video and the replay and next video options.

Anyone else have this problem or know what I can do to fix it?

Firefox or IE?

If the former, try IEtab plugin.

I've tried it with both. Same thing happens.

I'll give that plugin a go, though.

America Is a Joke
The worst of times for politics and media has been the best of times for The Daily Show’s host—and unfortunately things are getting even funnier.

after watching Stewart seething about Reps. fucking around in the Senate and holding up the 9/11 First responders bill, he finally did something about it.

Jon's interview with the sick and dying 9/11 responders.
Audio only
