I tend to agree with you guys. He really captured the dichotomy between Peter Parker's awkwardness and his Spider-Man alter ego's heroic demeanor. How was he "miscast"?
because orph believes that all superheros should only be britts and not americans

Yeah, I thought Tobey did a really good job - even in that disastrous third installment. I also think that Andrew Garfield is a better actor, so my expectations are pretty high for his version of Parker/Spider-Man.

i don´t think this movie will be good at all.
Well, it doesn't stand much of a chance coming out the same year as Ghost Rider 2, does it?

saw this tonight
as much as i liked toby's, you can really see its dated FX wise (the first one)
the story is a bit modernized (think of the ultimates). i didnt hate the costume nearly as much as i thought i would. while uncle bens death was definitely moving...there wasnt the whole with great power comes great responsibility, though its implied.
holding it up against TDK and Avengers, id say it was a B+

I liked it a lot. I think it's the best Spider-man movie yet. I'll agree with a previous post that I didn't like the way The Lizard looked but aside from that it was great. I think he fit Peter Parker and Spider-man very well. Good job acting all around.
Question for those that might know: Who was the guy after the credits?
