Then it felt weird to see how he died., it wasnt directed well i think, i dont know, the acting was laughable..it felt too contrived. what did you like about that scene? |

I liked the re-imagining of the thing, for sure. Though fun, I always thought the amateur wrestler thing was a little wonky. This captured all of that in a much more direct and human way for me. It was more universal. I don't want to say believable because I'm not concerned as much with that in a Spider-Man film, but it was more honest. Less extreme. And I think that made it all the more tragic. Also, I disagree that the acting was bad. I actually think the acting in that scene is outstanding. The scene leading up to the shooting is heartbreaking. Most of us have been there, in that awkward place growing up where we believe we know what's best for us and our own selfishness overshadows our responsibilities. Great scene. I think the whole film is directed really well. I agree with everything Jorge said earlier. Marc Webb really understands what Peter Parker is going through and does a fantastic job communicating that. |

That's a funny video, but those critiques don't hold water / are inherent to the Spider-Man story, not just this movie / are inherent to the superhero movie subgenre / rely on the previous Spider-Man movies instead of judging this one on its own merits. |

Yeah, well their job is to be funny, not accurate. |

Specially those critiques with the story ( connors being Gwen´s boss?? get outttt) and the martin sheen dialogue is right too. Anyway, its ok if you liked this reboot, i found it pretty meh. Like i said, i dont need to watch this one again, and im sure the sequel will be better, this crew is all talented people and what they should have done is a new movie, not a rebooted one. |

I found Peter Parker to be pretty unlikable. |

I haven't really ever liked Peter Parker. He's a wise-cracking douche. I think you accept that if you're a Spiderman fan. I think his character was far more interesting in this film than it has been. |

OK, yep, that's true. My mistake. Personally I felt it was clear that as Spider-Man gave Peter more feelings of power (ie. I'm not useless, I CAN see justice done), his ego grew. Which to me is quite realistic. If some of us became superheroes, I wonder how many of us would become unlikeable as people. |

I though it was mostly horrible. What was the point of rebooting this one?i admit I'm not a big Spider-Man guy and don't know much other than all the movies and the awesome cartoon from the 60's but this felt the exact same as the previous spider movies. Felt the same. Looked the same. Acting was weak. Bad stuff |

I gotta say, opinions about the quality of the film aside, that I question anyone who claims this "felt the same and looked the same" as the previous series. It's a decidedly different tone and approach, both on a visual (color palette, cinematography and art direction) and a narrative level (see my previous post about the shift in focus from Spider-Man to Peter Parker). I agree that it was too soon for a reboot, but this felt distinct enough, certainly not indistinguishable from the previous film series. |

Yeah, strat, you know I love you, but this thing feels/looks totally different from Raimi's Spider-Man. |
