I hope George Michael is still portrayed as a high schooler.

Prediction: this will not be as funny as the original series. Furthermore and regardless of immediate reaction, people will be way disappointed and cranky about it....even though it's still pretty fucking funny....and most all of the commenting on it after the fact will be bitchy.

You only say that because that's what happens with everything.

This is good news. Started re-watching the series last night...haven't watched them since they were on-air.

I was thinking about this. I wonder what they'll do with him and Maeby.

From what I heard they're pretty much going to approach it like the same amount of time as in the real world so far did pass also for the characters, so conceivably it'll be about 5 years later.

I can't believe this didn't get posted yet, they demonstrated the infamous Bluth chicken dances at the panel

The whole Bluth Family reunion is available on the New Yorker facebook page, if you like them.
The moderator begins by telling the audience what hashtags to use when they tweet about the event. :?: #superannoying #stfu

The whole thing with Michael Cera being the sole hold-out who was holding up the movie project was apparently an Andy-Kaufman-esque joke.

What I meant was that Cera has been on board with the movie all along, and that other factors (read: studios) were actually holding up the movie. The rumor about it being because of Cera was a joke started by Mitch Hurwitz and the cast just to mess with people.

My

God.

We had this joke of a "theater troupe" come to school today to do a presentation/play about bullying. It was just two bored looking twenty-somethings and a "director" who looked/talked/dressed/behaved/sounded/moved EXACTLY like Tobias Funke. Holy shit. I mean, as much as you try you will NEVER be able to force yourself to fully picture someone in real life being so exactly THAT guy. It was like he walked right out of the show. To watch him lead a 20 minute discussion on "corndogging in the hallways" was fucking AMAZING. They need to put it in the movie, it was so good.

Btw, a great tiny little moment from that NY video (its last day streaming on FB was like 2 days ago) I finally got around to watching the whole 90 min video, toward the end they're talking audience questions, someone brings up the great guest stars of the series, in particular here Mae Whitman, Alia Shawkat knew her personally before the series started, and Alia drops the official name of "Ann Veal" to everyone else around, and it's very quick and subtle, but right after she says the name, you can just barely hear Jason Bateman go "Who...?"

of course it would've been even doubly orgasmic if you have like George Sr or GOB jump in and ask "Her?"

Yeah, I see shit like this a lot. Theater is comedy gold.
