Yeah i think it might have won comedy of the Year last year,
they should really think about M*A*S*H and Cheers, both had bad ratings the first seasons but won many awards and soon gained huge fan bases and turned into two of the best show's ever to be televised.

i dont watch it so i dont know much about it, but when does it come on?

Sundays at 7:30 central time on Fox,tell your friends so we can keep this show on the air.

go rent season 1 first. watch repeatedly if you dont like it. trust me.

I firmly beleive anyone who doesnt find this show funny is inferior mentally.

thats exactly what i did with my mom and my brothers, they would watch pieces of the first season when i'd be watching, and they thought it was dull so i rented the DVD and talked them into watching it,and now they all say it's the funniest show in quite awhile.

What does anyone expect from Fox? This is the same stupid network that cancelled Family Guy and didn't realize anyone liked it until they put out the DVDs.

They might put out some unique shows, but the decision making skills of the people in charge are really terrible.

if Fox cancels AD i will officially give up on network television. I barely watch it now. The only shows i regularly tune in for are the simpsons and arrested development, and the simpsons are merely a shell of their former selves.

i sincerely hope this isnt true :(

Fox's official position is that they HAVE reduced the order for season 2 from 22 episodes to 18 episodes...

and that it has been done to protect the show. November and May Sweeps are the biggest times of the year (feburary is less important).. and a bad showing in those months can ruin a show.

Arrested Development gets decent ratings, but not great.. The problem is, regardless of ratings, the show loses money (it would need great ratings to make money)... As it is an expensive show to produce (9 full-time cast members. If the show had a poor showing for the may sweeps, there would be little to no chance of the programmers convincing the money people to allow the show another chance.

Also, by not having May episodes, the DVD's for season 2 can be done much sooner, allowing the word of mouth for the show to grow before the next crucial sweeps period in November.

Probably just a BS excuse, but it does kinda make sense.

Sweeps is fucking stupid, even for TV executives.

Arrested Development is the best show on network TV right now, bar none.

I've been enjoying the first season on DVD, but I've heard that the second season isn't as good.

The last 3 episodes have been 3 of the funniest, craziest ones yet.

Outside of the Daily Show this is the only show on TV right now I can say I consistently laugh out loud numerous times throughout an episode. I don't know how Bateman ever fell off the face of the earth for awhile, he's fantastic.

a big part of the reason you may hear some of the "season 2 isn't as good" is that people are fucking lying homo's.

just kidding. AD is one of those shows that gets better with each viewing, and given the show hasnt had any repeats for season 2 (well, it had 1), people have only seen each episode one time in most cases, so they havent had the chance to absorb the episodes like they did for season one.

and that is why TIVO's rock. I have recorded all of Season 2 thus far. anyone is free to come watch them. except the first one. i watched that one drunk and deleted it.
