First teaser trailer hit today
I don't know, for some strange reason I've got a good feeling about this. All things considered it feels like it's been relatively under the radar, I mean obviously the fourth time thru it's not exactly a new groundbreaking concept, and what like 5 or some years since the last flick? I think JJ Abrams' #3 was perhaps the best of the trilogy, narrowly beating out the first one. John Woo's second was just awful in a thousand different ways. What a waste of Anthony Hopkins.
And the rumor I've heard for a long time now is with Jeremy Renner playing a supporting role in this, he's supposedly being groomed to take over the lead of the franchise from Cruise if it continued on. See I just wish they could bring the whole concept back into the TV series format, that was a badass show back in the 60's, and I think part of what the 3rd film had over the two previous was it finally brought the whole notion of the true "team" back to the foreground like it was in the old series, whereas before it was mostly just Tom Cruise in your face. Funny thing is, Ving Rhames is the only other actor now to be in all 4 movies, and looks to me like he's not featured in this teaser even once. But, Brad Bird making his first live action feature has given me some hope at least. The Incredibles is one of my favorite Pixar flicks.

That was a pretty awesome trailer. By December, I'm usually in full Oscar-bait movie mode, so I'm not sure I'll be in the mood for this one right away. Sure does look cool, though.

i hated part 2 and still have never seen part 3, but the trailer, the cast, and a day without kids sucked me in. it's a really fun movie. if you've got an afternoon, it wouldn't be a waste of your time. also, robin thicke is a lucky guy.

Really fun blockbuster, the action sequences are superb, the whole Dubai part was breathtaking.
