If Tarantino write the script then you can be sure there is something there !

I saw this movie a few years back and I thought it was just going to be minor horror flick. I ended up very impressed, this movie wasn't that at all !

Great movie. Nice and cheesy with some over the top violence. My favorite part is when they're in the club, after killing the first round of vampires, one of the characters is like, "lets kill that fucking band!" to which the vampiric lead singer replies "fuck you everybody, good night!" and they blow themselves up. Awesome movie.

Yeah I loved it, although I thought it was much better before they got to the Titty Twister. Some excellent Tarantino dialogue.

That's because the first half was directed by Tarantino. The second half was directed by the other guy.

I enjoyed the vampire half, but the first half sticks out in my mind the most. Tarantino plays a really good creep.

I never knew that. I thought it was Rodriguez's direction of Tarantino's script. I like the fact that Earl McGraw (the Texas Ranger) was brought back for Kill Bill, although obviously the story here would've taken place after KB, since he gets killed in the opening scene.

It's always fun to watch this movie with someone who's never seen it and has no clue about the vampire angle. Favorite line: "I may be a bastard, but I'm not a fucking bastard." Honorable Mention: "I've got six little friends, and they can all run faster than you."

I saw this in the theater. When everyone started turning to vampires and all the blood and gore were everywhere my friends and I all just looked at eachother like "what the fuck?". Not that I didn't enjoy the movie. The second half just came straight out of left field.

when i first saw it with some friends i had no idea what it was about and they didn't tell me so as the first half was going along i was enjoying it but then when the vampires came in i was completely puzzled and baffled. it changed so dramatically i couldn't believe it.

That's not true at all. Robert Rodriguez directed the entire movie. Tarantino wrote the script.
QT wrote it the way he did to make it feel like two different movies. Originally durring the theatrical release there was no reference to it being a vampire movie. They promoted it as a straight action / thriller with "an evil twist"

Only after the dvd / video release did they tote it as a vampire / action movie because by then the cat was out of the bag.

If you want more insight into this movie buy the special 2 dvd version & watch the movie that comes with it "Full Tilt Boogie"

(And yes I have a wealth of useless QT knowledge look at my username for chrit's sake :D )
