I gotta say between Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead, AMC has been kicking some ass lately. I find these shows to be superior to anything going on HBO right now. Yes, that includes the seriously overrated In Treatment, Treme, and Boardwalk Empire, and the utterly unfunny Hung, Bored to Death, East Bound and Down, and Entourage.

Boardwalk Empire is a masterpiece.

Breaking Band is top also.

Rubicon was fantastic, shame that it was cancelled.

The Walking Dead is looking good.

Still need to check Mad Men.

True Blood is cool and fun, very entertaining.

Treme was solid enough, but it really needs some improvement.

Bored to Death had some classic episodes. I like it.

Hung should go, although im following it.

In Treatment, im still on season 1, but i think its really appealing if youre into psycho/relationship things.

Love, love "Breaking Bad"

Haven't checked out "Mad Men" yet. I will some day.

Watched the first episode of "The Walking Dead" and loved it. But I refuse to continue until I have the first season on DVD.

East Bound & Down is still hilarious.

Walking Dead is good though.

I think you're right, AMC is the winner in this matchup of the two best stations. I'm actually a little surprised. AMC seems to be four for four, although I did stop watching Rubicon part of the way through the first season. I still plan to re-visit it though. I suppose this means we should put The Killing, due in 2011, on our collective radar. http://www.amctv.com/originals/the-killing/about/

Boardwalk Empire is pretty great, though.

I don't understand how there will more than 1 season of The Killing. It's based on a single murder case. Slow and methodical (and dull) was Rubicon's downfall, I don't see how The Killing can be anything other than slow and methodical.

Don't you ever talk about Treme like that.

All of you who haven't watched Mad Men make me sick. Probably the best all-around show out there.

The Wire is the balls.

Old school HBO is better than current AMC.

But today's HBO is probably equal to AMC.

Showtime should be in this discussion as well for Californication and Dexter, it's not the same as those 2 but a few more shows like that and it could be.

I think the Showtime shows are more "fun," and less.. I dont know. Dexter is good, but its always been silly. Showtime shows never have had the intensity of a Treme or Boardwalk Empire.
