Everything from this movie reminds me of Fallout 3

Wasn't this already released under the title, "Man on Fire"?

I imagine Denzel is playing his stock character. The chip-on-his-shoulder man who is prone to 'go-off' on anyone who crosses him. But he plays his role well. And this movie seem to have a good, tangible atmosphere, and it has Gary Oldman. I'm willing to give it a look. I agree with Fallout 3 comparison-very, very similar.

it was alright. nothing amazing but i'm a sucker post apocalyptic crap. i cant wait for the end of the world! its gonna be awesome.

i figure a lot of people will have a problem with the religious angle, but its not more religious than Avatar, just different mythology, so to speak.

I agree. I don't think the religious angle should bother people too much. I'm like you, bmac, I like the post-apocalyptic stuff as well. My basement is stocked and ready to go...

I thought it was a good role for Denzel, Oldman was great as usual, and Mila Kunis wasn't annoying like I thought she would be. I thought the minor twists at the end made it a little less predictable. (See spoiler below)

Spoiler: show
I thought for sure the book he gave Oldman wasn't the bible at all, but another book or even a bomb. Also, lol @Alcatraz being "Mecca"

I liked it a lot. Agreed on the religious angle - I'm guessing that'll turn some people off.

Show was sold out, to my surprise; folks love their Denzel movies.

I saw this yesterday and quite enjoyed it. I like the religious angle, and I'm an atheist.
