I've found a ton of great music by watching Sofia Coppola movies over the years.

Vinyl Guy should really think about editing the subject head. It looks too slapdash.

its actually an ok movie.....every movie from her is nice to see it, the photography, the music, some acting....

the whole movie is not that deep, we dont get to know much of the characters...you can say there were moment of my god please let something happen here...

she can be as shallow as their characters sometimes...

being said that i liked Lost in translation and some thing of the virgins...and this movie is ok.

Watched this the other night. Some really, really great moments
Spoiler: show
like when Chloe breaks down in the car ride and then he apologizes to her in front of the helicopter, but she can't hear him.
But on the whole, this was hugely disappointing, to the extent that I wish I hadn't spent my time watching it. The visuals were great but the movie was unbearably slow and Coppola seems to have no idea how to introduce tension into the plot. The whole "I'm sticking the kid with you" part should have been the second or third scene, but instead we got 30-45 mostly silent minutes of Johnny being a loser. We get it. Moreover, Lost in Translation worked A) because in a foreign country, people are more likely to have bouts of silence, B) there was enough unspoken humor, especially in the commercial shoot scenes, to sustain the slow plot, and C) honestly, because we hadn't seen it before. I had high hopes but this felt like a huge retreat on her part.
