just caught the first 2 episodes. very much in the style of 300. i suspect it's just a really expensive softcore porn though. my wife thought i was watching cinemax until some poor motherfucker lost his legs.

no, it's not done. season 2 was picked up before season 1 even aired. unfortunately, the actor who plays spartacus has early non hodgkins lymphoma, so production has been delayed, though i don't know for how long.

good to hear the show is coming back. there are some cheeseball moments, but overall a good and entertaining show. and for the folks (mainly media) calling it softporn, thats just silly. sure, there's some t&a, but if you find yourself jerking it to 10 second clips of boobs, well then you may have issues.

i wasn't being serious in the first post when i said it was soft core porn disguised. there's just a lot of t&a in it. most of it is background.

anyone who checks this thread out and is considering giving the show a shot, make sure you will commit. the first couple episodes are not indicative of the character development, humorous dialogue, or intriguing plot twists that happen later. it gets better from week to week, and the finale is as satisfying a season-ender as i have ever seen.

there was a small mistake that i caught, they normally use Pluto's name on the show, but one guy said something about Hades, which wasnt used in Roma, if im not wrong, only on Greece

I guess this was ok.. I mean I got through the entire season via on demand, but everything was just so over the top, kinda schlock at a certain point. The end was quite horrific, but if it had gone on the same way in the second season it would get redundant and boring.
