did i totally just miss the whole point of this movie?
not a good plot, have no idea what really happened or why, just bad. now usually i like movies like this and take them for what they are, but it ended and im like "can i have the last 2 hours of my life back pleace"

i wish one of those dudes would come erase my memory of this movie...

that would be sweet.

unless someone here explains to me why its a good movie.

it doesn't really look that interesting to begin with.

**Spoilers here**

I've seen two movies now that start out with absolutely excellent plots but then proceed to tear them down: this one and Saw.

I loved the idea of her daughter vanishing from everyone's memories, and I enjoyed the first half hour of this movie more than I have any other horror flick lately, except Saw. The film was great until aliens were brought in the picture, and then it turned ridiculous. This is an excellent psychological thriller gone spoiled. Such films are more anger-inducing than ones that are bad all the way through, like The Gruge was. I don't recommend watching this one, unless you'd like a memorable shot of Julianne Moore in her undies.

My gf and I just rented this flick. It wasn't good, but I liked how the quick jump from suspense thriller to sci fi. But I agree, the first 1/2 was better, but that is way typical of movies these days. I have not seen a good ending since Evild Dead 2.

You know...saying a movie sucks carries a lot more weight if you give a reason why. Instead, you just come across as a bandwagon jumper who has no opinion of their own...who only says something because everyone else is saying it.

This movie was going to be great until the detective shot that alien in the back and the wounds just dissapeared and then I knew the story was ruined. My wife and I watched the rest but were very dissapointed with how the plot turned out. Definitely not worth the price of a rental.

Seems to me you're pissed off because people are talking bad about a movie you like. Hey look at me, I can make assumptions too! You come across as an ass because you assume I don't have an opinion of my own. I could give a list of why this movie was so bad, but is it really worth the effort? I've wasted enough time watching the thing, I care not to think about it or discuss it's parts again. It has no redeeming qualities. The plot was ridiculous, and I saw the "twist" quite a bit ahead of time. There were numerous plot holes, and the ones they tried resolving felt like they just threw any old thing that fit into place.

I liked the twist...I think if they got rid of all the things that alluded (with an e? is that right?) to the sci-fi, it would have been better. If you had no idea about any aliens...and the roof shot off...that would have ruled.

I liked that whole shooting offi nto the sky thing.

i thought saw was a decent picture. obviously not the best scary movie, but still worth seeing.

Definitely a good start, but a somewhat poor ending. I kinda liked this different approach to the 'alien' movies though...

That was the vaguest movie ever made.
"experiments", "the children! where are they!"..

God it just went on and on that we were supposed to be freaked out by something. Ridiculous. I have to go watch the Big Lebowski to get a better taste of Julianne in my mouth.

Just watched this last night, I thought the exact same thing. After it was over I kept asking my girlfriend what the point of it was :x
