No thread on this? Saw it a few days ago and really liked it. Seemed to have more of a soul and sadness to it than the average comedy these days. And I am becoming a huge Kristen Wiig fan. She's like the new Madeline Kahn.

Absurdly overrated. They took every male comedy cliche and just applied it to women.

It was definitely cliche but KW just gave it something else. And I loved her and Maya Rudolph together.

LOL @ WOMEN FARTING AND SHITTING AND PUKING

Also:

Spoiler: show
How absurdly cliche that a movie supposed to be about women power ends up with the lead needing/wanting/getting her man at the end of it.

This thread will be snarkily renamed in t-minus 29 minutes.

Did you maybe think at some point that uh... you're not really the target audience?

Thus putting it noticeably above every male comedy made in the last 10 years, since they all just took male cliches and applied them towards men.

That's at least something.

I really liked this. What mainstream comedy at this point isn't cliche? It's all about execution and this one did very well. Kristen Wig really brought it.

Pretty funny in the first half, way too much Lifetime movie/romantic comedy BS at the end.

Spoiler: show
I expected scenes of debauchery in Vegas. Sure, that would just be one more guy comedy they were ripping it off, but I don't particularly care so long as it's funny. Instead they get on a bus back to Chicago and I was like, "Shit, I bet the rest of this movie is going to suck."

It was ok, but Maya Rudolph dragged it down for me. I just don't like her in anything she does.

I generally dislike Kristen Wiig, on SNL at least.
