I declare this the best new show on broadcast television.

I like it also. Schmidt is funny.

I think almost everybody in this show is funny except for her. I find her a bit irritating. Which is a problem, 'cause it's her show.

But only in TV Land does Zooey Deschanel have trouble getting laid.

the first episodes weren´t that good but right now i think it´s the best sitcom around...way better than that how i met you stupid mother one..
And yes, Schmidt is great.

New Girl really did start off pretty wonky. But it's easily the most improved show of the season. I'm glad I stuck it out after those first few episodes. Basically, everything from the Thanksgiving episode on has been gold.

However, I'll just go ahead and defend How I Met Your Mother. I know we have a thread for it, and it doesn't need my defense. But that show is awesome. While not the pound for pound best, it's probably my favorite sitcom - at least of the last 20 years - maybe ever. Still haven't watched Season Seven though. Maybe it takes a dive.

How I Met Your Mother is absolute horseshit.

i saw different chapters of different seasons...and they were all pretty bad. The main character is fuckin retarded.
Only thing i saw that was kinda funny was that song the girl from canada did when she was younger.

Let's Go To The Mall is a song light years ahead of it's time! Matched only in awesomitude by Sand Castles In The Sand.

The show really strikes a nerve with me. But I'm a dork. That's probably why. Also, I'm a hopeless romantic and I love arguing about burgers in New York City. The show was pretty much written for me.

Yes, it has become much better the second half of the season. They still need to do some work on the Jess character though; for the main lead she still isn't very defined. Right now she still has a secondary, kooky neighbor-ness to her. Early on I felt like maybe they were going for a younger Liz Lemon type but just hasn't fleshed out that well.

Also, I like the current black kid rather than the Wayan's kid that was in the pilot.

Yeah, this most recent episode was one of the funnier ones. Really laughed a lot at that one.

A friend of mine who usually has good taste posted a Facebook status a few weeks ago declaring this the funniest show on tv. The weekend before last I was at some friends' house and the show came on and apparently they're fans too. I watched about 10 minutes or so and couldn't see the appeal.
