Apparently audiences are losing their shit over this movie at the Telluride Festival.

I'll be watching this one. Gone Baby Gone and The Town were both fantastic. Never would have thought in a million years that Affleck would be this good of a director.

If he's found his real calling, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

The Town is an average movie at best, it just gets pumped up because it was set in Boston. I can film someone taking a dump, and doing it in Boston doesnt make a great film. Plus, they totally ripped off the ending to Shawshank Redemption. Gone Baby Gone is alright, but Casey Affleck in that lead role ruins it.

Really? Go watch the first one. It's pretty much as good as most people make it out to be.

yeah, people whose opinions I value when it comes to these things have told me to see it. I will eventually, just haven't gotten around to it. It's not like Titanic where I refuse to ever see it.

"The Town" is really good. Boston has no bearing on my opinion of it (nor most people's... outside of Boston).

I just remember when it came out people talking about it like it was this amazing movie and I just didnt get it. I had so many people telling me it was better than The Departed which was driving me crazy.
