I'm actually in the middle of the Barsoom series by Burroughs and they are pretty decent books. (I think there are nine of them?)

Anyway, saw this yesterday. Was fun.

First time I saw a preview for this I thought they were saying "John Connor" and I was pissed off that someone would have the nerve to make a movie with that character outside of the Terminator franchise.

So, Rebar was the only person in the US to see this movie, eh?

It is what it is, a sci-fi flick geared towards kids. Was entertaining.

I kind of thought the trailer to this movie was a joke. All of these CGI-filled movies run together for me.

Ironic that you say that because apparently Stanton didn't want "From the director of Finding Nemo and Wall-E" in the trailer so people wouldn't think it was a kids movie.

Really? It had a terrible opening, but at least it grossed back double of what it made, including its budget back in the US and at least it was critically acclaimed. Reviews on JC are mixed.

I am still going to see it tonight.
