One of the greatest moments in my sad little life was watching this scene for the first time...

Ren and stimpy actually is a lot funnier now than when I was a little kid. I just watched the Rubber Nipple Salesman episode and it was hilarious. Thanks for the link man.

I always though it was funny that R&S was teamed up with Rugrats and Doug originally.

Anyway, that was hilarious. I love the show. Top 3 greatest opening/closing music.

This is a song about a qail. No it's not, it's a song about being happy.

Love it!

before ren and stimpy went big time it was probably the greatest cartoon show on tv in the past 20 years, but then they really started marketing it to be kid friendly and thats when they toned it down to just being top 10 greatest cartoons in the past 20 years

I forget the exact situation, but basically Nickelodeon stole the rights to the cartoon away from it's original creator and dumbed it down. The original version that aired on MTV was hilarious, but the Nick version is utterly asinine and completely devoid of what made the original brilliant.

This bit might be my favorite from the original series.

"Happy Happy Joy Joy" from Ren & Stimpy

Hello, boys and girls. This is your old pal, Stinky Weaselteats. [*]
This is a song about a whale. No! This is a song about being happy!
That's right! It's the Happy Happy Joy Joy song!

[chorus]
Happy Happy Joy Joy Happy Happy Joy Joy
Happy Happy Joy Joy Happy Happy Joy Joy
Happy Happy Joy Joy Happy Happy Joy Joy
Happy Happy Joy Joy Joy!

I don't think you're happy enough! That's right! I'll teach you to
be happy! I'll teach your grandmother to suck eggs! Now, boys and
girls, let's try it again!

[chorus]

(Greatest Verse of the 90s)
If'n you aint the grandaddy of all liars! The little critters of
nature... They don't know that they're ugly! That's very funny, a
fly marrying a bumblebee! I told you I'd shoot! But you didn't
believe me! Why didn't you believe me?!

[chrous]

Happy Happy Happy Happy
Happy Happy Happy Happy
Happy Happy Joy Joy Joy!

"The Log Song", from Ren & Stimpy

"What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!

It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!"

They make great finger gloves for when you have to touch filthy and repulsive things.

Did anyone watch the Adult Party Cartoon episodes? I think they ventured too far down the repulsive scale for me.
