Is this a game someone who didn't play the first can just pick up and play/enjoy. I hear everyone saying ts really great but don't know what its about. I'm interested in some mindless fun, so would like to know if its something I can just pick up and go with.

Yeah, it is very good. Better than most.

What level are you up to, Soma? I just hit 25 on my first playthrough.

The first DLC is gorgeous. And the soundtrack really stands out as a highlight too.
