Be sure to post in this thread about any new ebook downloads you might have saved to your hard drive. I don't just want to hear about paper books.

I've downloaded some racy erotica to my kindle reader over the last few days. That'll be fun to dive into.

I've recently dipped my toes in the .pdf and printer game. There's a certain satisfaction to be had in printing one's own reading material.

I downloaded the kindle app to my phone so I've been using that to read in bed.

I'm thinking of buying one, but I have to compare them to the newer Samsung Android tablets because the Kindle App will allow one to act like the other.

If I got a Kindle it would be the Fire HD. Why not have it do other shit too?

Those new-fangled Kindle models with a lit screen, released earlier this week.

That would just turn it into another distraction for me.

I'd prefer something specifically designed for text. I hear those tablets can be kind of fatiguing on the eye after a while.

I just like the idea of having an all in one device. I've been thinking of both a Kindle and a tablet recently, and if it'll work why not get something that will do both?

But yeah, readability is certainly a factor.

Exactly.

If I want to browse the web or check emails, I have my phone.

When I'm reading, I just want to read. The new Kindles don't even have audio anymore, but that's fine by me.

I'd rather have something to do one thing really well than a whole bunch of stuff only moderately well, y'know?

I get that, which is why research is in order. Like, how moderate are we talking about?
