Wait. That's not Adam Sandler?

The unoriginality in this character is staggering. That was my main thought watching the trailer. I don't see the point, does anyone find dictator jokes funny anymore?
He should go back to TV shows and inventive characters. Ali G is still the best one.
I haven't seen this, but I did catch an interview with him on NPR a few weeks back. He was surprisingly interesting. I guess there's a scene in the movie with Ahmadinejad (or that was at least filmed for it), and that it was a matter of happenstance. They were looking for places to shoot, and found out that they were like a block from the hotel he was staying in. Law enforcement was not pleased...there are some big guys in the scene, and they were basically there to make sure he didn't try and get any closer.
He also talked about people calling the police so often during the filming of Borat to report a questionable Arab in an ice cream van that he had to talk to federal authorities.
