It would ruin the arc of the entire story to date.

Perhaps something goes wrong in the resurrection process that turns Vader back into a Douche bag.

Maybe its clone nonsense?

If they cloned vader somehow he'd be anakin for at least a while. Would the clone have the same ability with the force?the same memories ingrained to be the same Vader? Who'd be doing the cloning? Rising sith cult? Midclorian nonsense ahoy.

So many questions

Didn't one of the graphic novels or books (or both) resurrect Vader? How did that work, and did fans like it or not?

Maybe I'm making that up. I don't know. I certainly never read it, but I thought I remembered friends in high school talking about it. Maybe they were talking about how they would do it if they were to write it.

We drank a lot of Surge. I don't know.

This reminds me of the Narnia franchise directors arguing that the White Witch needed to be shoehorned into every film for the series to have any consistency. Yuk.

Yeah.

I'm telling ya, Next Generation this shit.

Keep old man Luke if you really have to - as an Obi-Wan or Yoda-like hermit figure. But, I think I'd prefer they tell stories that happened way before or way after Episodes I-VI.

Weird Couple Has Greatest Sex Of Their Lives After Announcement Of Disney-LucasFilm Merger

NASHUA, NH—Following yesterday’s announcement that the Walt Disney Co. had acquired movie studio Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4.05 billion, local couple John Campbell and Linda Clarke had the most mind-blowing sex of their lives, the utterly bizarre pair told reporters. “Wow, that was incredible,” an exhausted Clarke said to Campbell after the intense lovemaking session, which reportedly began in an odd moment of passion brought on by industry news that Disney now owns rights to R2-D2, Chewbacca, and other Star Wars properties. “I feel amazing.” The exceedingly strange couple added that they hadn’t had such great sex since 2007, when they “couldn’t keep their hands off each other” after learning Brendan Fraser had signed on to reprise his role as explorer Rick O’Connell for a third film in The Mummy franchise.

I always seem to miss the rounds. My votes don't ever count because I'm always in that thread in between things.

At this point, we don't know that he refused. The tweet simply said "not doing Star Wars". Could be that he was rejected for the job or that they already have someone else.

I think I'd be a really good director for the next installment of the Star Wars saga because, though I've never directed a film in my life, I can make all the Star Wars sound effects with my mouth.
