Lads, this means no more 20th century fox logo as the intro. Just that awful Disney castle with tinkerbell. That's gonna look awful.
I bet Robert pattinson is cast already.
Oh and there's gonna be more Indy movies too it seems.
The logo thing will be weird.
But honesly - the original three are fantastic and the shit lucas has pulled since has not changed that for me. I can still watch those and get an emotional reaction towards them. Still great.
The prequels were obviously horrible but in the end it was stil lenjoyable (as a whole) to be part of the star wars universe again.
THis could go either way...could enhance or be more shit but in the end ill still watch them and probably have SOME fun during it....

Doesn't mount up to a hill of beans in terms of change if they allow the same production staff to work on them. Sterile fake and soulless. They could have the best writers and directors ever but if it looks wrong it'll be terrible. The prequels cgi/green screen have already aged terribly. They should get back to basics.
Peter Jackson should direct one.

Agreed but for some reason I put that all on Lucas.....
If another director is behind it all then....there is hope....unless its michael bay or schumacker or whatever that D baggo's name is

Think they'll pitch this to the widest possible audience. Meaning not just kids. Star wars is almost a catch all but it never fully penetrated. I know as many people who've never seen it and refuse to, than have seen it.

They're already referring to it as great "family entertainment," which should give some cue of the direction they want to go in. Sure, those movies have a familial draw, but if you wanted to indicate something a little more hopeful or calming you might say it "has a strong heritage and history," or that it "is powerful storytelling." Movies about Richard Gere being fond of dogs have been called great family entertainment.
But then, Disney is so well known for making quality sequels to classic movies, so no worries.
The real question is: how is it possible that the rights to all future Star Wars and Indiana Jones products, plus Industrial Light and Magic, plus Skywalker Sound....has a combined worth of a little more than half what Disney paid for Pixar? Does this guy have cancer or something?

I think something's up. He was almost crying at the press conference and there's some other big private matter going on. Some Toronto newspaper has the story.

Yea i was actually surprised at the 4 Billion dollar price tag.... which is really funny to see in text.....
I guess I hold some hope due to the first Pirates movie. That was good story telling....it is possible.
