I watched roughly five minutes of that clip. The first minute of watching was me genuinely giving it a chance, the second and third minute of watching was me waiting for the punchline and slowly realizing that this was it, the fourth minute of watching was the closest I came to "getting" it, which consisted of me sort of being hypnotized into a state of child-like stupidity by the production, and the fifth minute of watching was a penance that I decided that I needed to do for myself.

chud, I hate you for making this thread. Baman Piderman is something beautiful, beyond the comprehension of the cynics and the unimaginative dullards that populate RM.

it's just a silly, stupid, good-natured show about two best friends and the wacky world they live in. it's not cerebral, it doesn't strive to make you laugh, it's just absurd and weird and ridiculous and sweet.

so, it's not smart, not funny, and not entertaining?

did i say that?
of course it's entertaining. but its humor derives from a more abstract, more absurd place than most comedy shows.
you have to be attuned to a certain sensibility to find the magic in it. i think it's great.

i wouldn't expect most people here to be, and i don't say that in a condescending "oh i get it but you don't" sorta way (though i did call you all unimaginative dullards earlier but you know we cool), it's just not the sort of thing that would play well with the RM crowd. it's not cerebral enough. it's just supposed to be silly, goofy and nonsensical. it's one of the few internet things i've found that are purely good-natured fun, without an undercurrent of cynicism, and i find that refreshing.
