the underlined links was fixed in the forums, but they still are not on the news page and the colour isn't quite different enough to stand out.

last 2 day's i've had problems accessing the site. the main page, i could see on the bottom of the task bar that the donation gif was loading. then the page would just freeze up.
today, just upgraded with the new windows xp service pack 3. so far, things are going smoothly!

Is there any possibility of incorporating the News page back into the board? I only use the forum in expanded mode and so don't get to check the News on the main TSIS page unless I remember to do so specifically (I just have the expanded forum as my bookmark).
I miss it - I would've been sure that the news of bootlegs in 2008 would've caused more interest and discussion than the 6 comments on the main page (most of which relate to donations anyway). It makes me think perhaps a lot of people are just going straight to, or just bookmarking, the expanded forum like me.
Is there a way to keep both? Keep the news on the main TSIS page but have it link to a News forum on the board too?

People just need to get used to the new format. Actually, it's really more of a standard format which is why we did it. Front page blog and news with a feed you can subscribe to. The news in the forum worked, but it's not really the optimal way to go about it.

Some people dont know how to use brightness controls on their monitors.
It's the lighting of the lcd in my case(s) at least. Even turning brightness it way down is fatiguing to look at. My displays are calibrated well otherwise.

While I dig the new look of things, I second this request for putting an additional News section back in the forum. When even the smallest news breaks, that was a great place to find information. The main page news feels like a place for really really important announcements and the forum would have, say, 10 to 15 different topics about a bunch of other things. I don't know how often the main page will be updated, but that News section in the forum constantly had the latest breaking topics and good discussion.
