Esteemed and Glorious Members of Red Mosquito,
On or around next Friday, January 28th, we're gonna make some pretty cool improvements to theskyiscrape.com's blog page! We think the new page is going to look great, and it's going to improve how you find and share your Pearl Jam News. The new TSIS will allow you to find old posts through an always-visible archive, share information with friends immediately with social networking buttons, and let you find related news with a tagging system. It'll also look smooth and all Web 2.0ish!
Now here's the flip side, the current forum address (http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/) will die. Those of you with bookmarks linking directly to the Red Mosquito Forum will need to update your links to http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/. If you want, you can do that right now. It already works! And if you forget, that's alright. You'll just go to our cool new front page which contains not one, but TWO links back to Red Mosquito.
Some of the links in our forum which link to other pages in the forum may fail at first, but we're working to fix those. We'll be testing some things in the lead up to the switch. Other than that, we hope the bumps will be few and far between. We're really kind of excited about all of this!
See you all on Friday! Your Loving and Benevolent Mods

Note: not a criticism.
Why does a redesign of the blog page require a reworking of the forum url?
The blog page won't be on the same server as the forum. That's actually one of the reasons for the redesign that I should have put in that message.
If the forum goes down, the blog page will stay up, and we should be able to post messages about the forum status.

threads should be okay.
Links may be broken
Chud, I'm thinking about unilaterally modding you so you can fix the index thread.

Or I could copy and past the code into Word and do a find/replace.
