http://www.myspace.com/treasuresandfakes "Musings from a Shipwreck" I'm proud of this one guys, so I'd like to hear what you think. the words: i saw you wave from the pier that's the day it became clear anchor chains were coming loose goodbye to you so i took right to the sea. it was the last she'd see of me for now, my eyes were wide. i sailed free then the storm came rolling in shook our ground and stole our wind water won our losing ship it walked right in i never dreamed i'd have to swim and now i'm on a sinking ship the wind stripped all our sails. we're powerless tell the guard to find us soon, the lifeboats are now out of room the hull begins to growl. its breaking soon she came to my mind in the storm she was my eye but she can't stop this ship from sinking then the boat turned to the sky i looked up and i asked why the question had no reply i was alone tell the gods i believed in them, and tell mom i died a handsome man i wish i could be on land again as the ship sank in the night, i reflected on a wasted life and all i can say is "goodbye to you" |
