The lyrics are by an other RMer who asked me to do the music for it. So, here it goes, lyrics by a fellow RMer, instruments and vocals by myself, the song is called 'happiness':

just for the records, i think those are pretty good lyrics, raw, heartfelt. and the music enhances those qualities. it's a simple song that's in the way of becoming a classic. IMHO.

stefan, some parts of that song are pretty good. other parts are a jumbled mess. when the songs kicks in at about 40 seconds into it, there's way too much going on. it sounds like a different song. after that part is done, it gets pretty good again for about 20 seconds. then it becomes a mess again. you should concentrate on the parts that i said were good and work within those boundaries.

but see, that jumbled mess is what it's all about... what you call "way too much going on" is perfectly the chaos the lyrical I undergoes in the lyrics, which I transported into the music. It's not supposed to sound clean cut or anything, but rather, yeah, messy, undecided, overwhelmed, complicated, someone not knowing which direction to move in a storm cause the wind is hitting his face in whichever direction he's turning it.

this song is totally punk. you can hear when someone unplugs the instruments, or crashes them on somebody's head or throws the amps on the floor... whatever. song interpretation sucks anyway. take it or leave it.
