Seriously, have you ever considered submitting any of your photos to National Geographic or a similar magazine? They would be prefect for that--you're an amazing photographer.

Why?

There's really only one "sad" one.

When I look at them, I just smile. When I'm in the places I go, and I'm with these people, taking these photos. Man...it just lights me up, it really makes my world. It makes me happy. I definitely did not post this batch on gettin' people down. I guess what my goal has been for a while now, is to show the beauty and the happiness behind the poverty. When you get to know these people like I do, the misery surrounding them all really just dissappears.

I did want to get one picture from this spot where in every direction you just see teaming slum for this set. But the opportunity didn't arrise this past month.

Maybe I'll make people feel bad in my next batch.

Also, February is bringing a one week vacation to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which should make for some nice pics to share.

Anyhow, if there's one thing I've learned here in my stay about Djibouti, it's "don't let the poverty get ya down."

It doesn't make me feel bad, it just reminds me of how different my life is, than your subjects and the stupid stuff I get hung up about. The pics are great keep'em coming
