Again, pardon the few vocal slips.. I just can't seem to record something perfectly :x

Anyway, this is an improvement on a song I posted a while ago. I changed the lyrics and the guitar a bit. Lemme know what you think.

You picked a beautiful morning
to say "Hello" without a smile

You're looking down as you're walking
think it might change in a while?

But you know what's appropriate
the mold necessary

to do what bosses tell ya
but you don't know what it is to be
Free

What little sleep that you live on
for all these dreams you can't let go

And everything that you need now
your 'Mr. Sandman' only knows

But I feel it can't be worth it
all this weight's gotten to me

When you sleep and hate to awake
How I pray someday you'll be
Happy And Free

I would totally offer some thoughts, but I haven't heard from you yet on my song. :x

Sorry man. I tried listening the night you sent it but I couldn't get it to download. I'll give it a listen and comment right away.

This is going in my iTunes as well. That's two, kid.

I really enjoy the fact that the low-fi element always seems to enhance your songs. Hell, something about your recordings...even MISTAKES seem to help them. With my songs, mistakes always stand out like sore thumbs.

My only complaint is that your voice has something of a generic indie singer-songwriter feel. Not so annoying as Conner Oberst, but if I bought the record I'd wish it had more personality.

We coulda made a great song together.

I like the low-fi element, too. I wonder if a studio'd be bad for me. :?

As for the vocals, I don't know who Conner Oberst is. I just sing it as I feel it and try to put as much feeling into it as I can while attempting to stay on tune. I don't really know how to sing any differently.

Thanks for putting me on your iTunes. :)

And we can still make a song together, man.

We should. She Doesn't Even Know Me has racked up 7 plays since I downloaded it.

That's cool but I'm embarassed about that recording now. If you want to help me with a good version I'd love your help. It'd be cool to have a keyboard and/or other background noises if you could add them.

Whatever I can do for a song, man. Toss me a favored cut and I'll abuse it a bit.

Awesome. I'll do that someday soon, maybe tomorrow. :)

I'd offer to record something onto a track of yours, but I don't think you could use that assistance.
