So my purchas has recently arrived here in Djibouti. A new Canon Rebel XTI 400D. It's a DSLR, and to accompany it I bought a serious, professional lense. I'm still...strugglin...to work kinks out I guess and achieve the product I'm looking for. But piddling and testing it on different settings and modes have yeilded a few nice shots.
There are some with the Powershot S80 mixed in too.
Let me know what you all think.
S80 shot. I love this. Everything about it.
Taken with the new camera. There's an immense amount of blown potential in this shot...
How much for the crab? Ohhhhh... only three bucks. The crabs they had were enormous.
Taken with the new camera. I really in all actuality butchered this. It flashed when it didn't need to flash, and I chopped her hand off. But... it's nice nonetheless.
Old camera shot.
Hooray!! Genuine depth of field!! This is impossible with my old camera. Not only for depth of field, but for the light level. I would never, ever be able to achieve the clarity at such a low level of light as I took this one. This is the one that really made me say "I'm impressed by this camera." Now that I know what it can do, it's just a matter of getting it to "do this" all the time.
This is wicked cropped. I probably cropped out 90% of the original shot here. It's a low light exposure. And not only did it turn out nice, it's not grainy at all, and I would dare say, exceptionally clear.
