but i've been studying by myself and now i got some serious doubts, specially about "lenition". i understand the concept, the problem is the pronunciation.
does the rule "caol ri caol is leathann ri leathann" apply to lenited words? i mean, when lenited, the combination of consonants should be pronounced following the rule for broad and slender consonants/vowels? my great concern is, does "mhath" really sound like "vach"?
Is toil leam a bhith a' bruidhinn GÃ idhlig ach chan eil mi math... Tha mi airson ionnsachadh GÃ idhlig!
can anybody help me? sorry if this is off topic...

well, i may be going to London and then Scotland in August or September, so i decided to learn the ancestral language of Scotland, specially the Highlands. anyways, i've ordered a course book with cds and a dictionary, but until i get them, it's been kinda hard. i've been looking for songs too, it's an easier way to learn.
