while it is pretty dark, between the rhyming and some of the imagery i find the poem somewhat humorous. and i think that is a positive thing, because for me at least, your accomplishing multiple things. the narrator is both self deprecating and tortured. but he isn't coming out and saying oh woe is me, we draw that conclusion ourselves.

it's there, i know, but i'm not yet past the point beyond which i will be able to see the humor... i like it, but it hurts a bit.
