Stolen Moment

I crave it
The simplicity
Just you
And me
And skin.
The first visceral rasping sigh -
Simplicity.
No distractions.
No complications.
Save the tangle of sheets at our feet,
The initial stumbling hesitant movements
Before the slow and easy rhythm.
The knot of heavy limbs.
The sweet glow of perspiration.
Simplicity.
And calm.
Soothing and smoothing
The complicated mess of every day.
Quiet my mind,
Being in me,
Taking me
out of me.
Simplicity.

Really liked the way you ended it and great use of repitition with the 'simplicity'. Also, the way you broke up the lines really helped the pace of the piece along. Good stuff :)

thanks lads, i appreciate the comments. methinks i'll be sticking to story writing though, i can't write paragraphs in poetry! :shake: :haha:
