Here's a picture of our cat, Chloe, that our 2 y.o. son took this afternoon with our digital camera. Turned out a lot better than a lot of the ones I had taken! :?

Well, that's actually not that surprising. One of the easiest ways to create pictures with a better (or at least more interesting) composition is to take them at a height other than eye-level. Being 2 years old, I figure your son is a bit closer to the ground than you'd be. :)

And here's for another selection of my Ireland pictures:

And I always manage to shoot at least one picture that totally freaks out my camera. The light was head-on and so incredibly bright that the CCD in my trusty Canon couldn't handle it:

That place could not exist in America. There would be fences keeping people at least a metre from the edge.

That is a wicked looking cliff though!

It's taken on the largest of the three Aran Islands, in the Galway bay on the west coast of Ireland. There's a big prehistoric ruin to be seen in the background.

I noticed as well that there were rarely any fences near the edge. I guess they believe quite strongly in natural selection as a practical means towards human development.

And if you think these cliffs are incredible, you should've seen the Cliffs of Moher, which are over 200 meters in height (as opposed to the 60-or-so meters these are).

I think people from other countries are just smart enough to not fall off on a regular basis.

Hehe, that reminds me of a quote I read somewhere:

I have absolutely no idea who wrote:
The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Some assorted pictures I took on my vacation over the summer. These are the best of the lot (and there were a lot), taken with a pretty cheap digicam.
