Sleek coat of blackened hue,
Covered in froth from a midnight ride.
Nostrils flared and mane askew,
She gallops the shore at high tide.

Unbroken spirit inspires it.
Hooves pummel the sand.
No saddle, no reins, mouth without bit.
The salty breeze rides atop her full hand.

Heart pounding in her chest,
the beautiful beast races.
Swift along with fury's best,
A waxing moonlight chases.

Heavy breath, and seaspray yet
as waves crash at her thunderous feet.
Riding hard to end in rest wet,
No man her back shall meet.
