Worked on this yesterday...still trying to work out the timing with the drums, but I'm getting there.

You're welcome. :)

So are you planning for your "shitty little song with no words" to ever have words or will it stay an instrumental? :)

Another board user who liked the song actually wrote some lyrics for it. However, I cant sing for shit...so it may just stay as is. I kind of like it with no words, but these lyrics are pretty good too.

Too fragile to speak
So easy to let her down
Maybe I'll walk away
Let it work itself out somehow

Still, she looks to me for strength
Ironic I've never been weaker
Should it be this hard?
Is this how it ends?

I gave you everything I was
But you want more than I am
This could have been beautiful
If not for you

All I wanted was somebody to dance with
To laugh with, to peer into
But you compromised my simplicity
Maybe you're right
Maybe we're better off this way
I don't know how it got away
But its pointless to search for it now
I'll miss you...parts of you anyway
Think of me from time to time

Weight of the world comes crashing down
Easy to crumble underneath
Tide is rising, it's closing in
I'm helpless as it's drowning me

My pc laptop crashed a few weeks ago, so my buddy let me borrow one of his mac ibooks. He showed me how to use garage band and helped me record the song. I just played the guitar parts and approved the drum beat.

My pc is fixed now, but I fell in love with the mac for the week or so I had it. I'm definitely contemplating buying one for garage band alone.

Do you know of any recording programs for the pc? I used to have audacity, but I never fully figured it out.

8) When you say can't sing, do you mean you really can't sing or you're just shy?
Those are some interesting lyrics. If you do decide to put it all together, I'd like to hear it.
Even if you don't, I'd be interested to hear how it develops. :)

I'm not sure what types of programs there are but I've heard the name Garage Band thrown around before. Shit is probably mad expensive so just find some free not as good program or you know, the obvious.

Actually, no. I'm not really that "into" Metallica and I'm not very familiar with their songs. In all honesty I just picked the name of the song before I posted it here....kind of goes along with the whole "shitty little song thing."

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it...but the beat is fake.

Even though I think you're a brat, I like your tune.

Tight work.

The drums and the bass are bit too overpowering in that recording. I love how the bass comes in though. And that's quite a guitar you're strumming. Best of luck!
