Hi All

We're going to start the second pearl jam cover contest about mid march, so if you're interested in participating sign up now.

Songs can be full band numbers, you accompanied on piano, guitar, drums, a capella, or even just instrumental. However you choose to interpret them

Eligible songs include everything in pearl jam's catalogue, anything from into the wild, and any live cover the band has played live at least 5 times. If you have questions just ask me.

We have two months before the start. There will be a two week break about a month into the contest (probably) since I'll be away but I'd like to have a match every day so the contest does not lose momentum.

As such if you sign up please remain committed to the contest. Try to have a few numbers worked up in advance and record new ones as the contest progresses so we don't have to deal with delays and forfiets

Remember too, that not everything needs to be a hyper fancy bookshelf style production monstrosity, even though those were awesome. A good voice, real feeling, and an acoustic guitar can work just as well.

Collaberative entries are also fine

I wasn't going to even consider it, but now that it's here I'm tempted. I'll think on it...it's the volume of production I'm uncertain about, since I'm in the middle of a project.

do you have a guitar and a mic? Seriously, low key entries can still work great.

Does someone with a little more time than myself right now want to e-mail some past contestents and give them a heads up?

Would anyone be willing to add drums to one of my songs? Don't care if it's real drums, bongos, drum mahine, or a drum program. The song is very short....only issue might be that since all my parts are already done if I wasn't in time throughout the song it might not be possible to add drums...I think I was in time though.

i might just do one take entries, depends how busy i am in march

Hey everyone.
I'm going to enter a few songs in the Cover Contest that starts on May 1. Right now, I'm planning on submitting instrumentals, but if anyone would like to sing, please let me know. I'd do it myself, but I know I don't have a good voice so I'm appealing to any of the musicians on here that haven't already entered.

If you have a microphone and any kind of recording gear, I'll post a wav. file online that you can download, add your vocals to and then repost as a new wav.
