my blood's runnin thick
cuz i been drinkin some egg nog
feelin tireder than gandalf
after he fought the balrog
sitting round on christmas, drinkin
and watchin the yule log
seeing the future
which is hard to see from here
because of the fog

tryin to stop smokin
but man, i been stressed
its like stopping the presses
once the button's been pressed
or attempting to smile
when your'e morbidly depressed
its like talking about your life
and admitting its a mess

im just watchin tiny little
sparks turn into a fire
and seeing the worst happen
to the ones i admire
i hate telling the truth
and being called a liar
my dreams try to name
my nameless desire

ive walked a shitload of miles
and only made a little bit of progress
ive wasted lots of time
trying to love the loveless
made some pretty pretty songs
with these out of tune strings
made a lame reference earlier
to lord of the rings

on second look this is pretty dark. still, the gandalf line really throws me off the general mood of the poem.

i added some more, and addressed the gandalf line.

overall, there are some serious lines here that would work better in some other way, but im just posting them as they come. hopefully i find a home for the ones that need it eventually.

Same here. Once the lines that seem more like a joke are over the lyrics really pick up. After the first verse I don't see a fault.

yeah... this sort of became like a blank page of paper that i just scribble stuff down on. theres 2 or 3 different things going on here, and ill probably separate them out when i get the chance/have more to add. the jokey/tongue in cheek stuff and the more serious stuff definitely wont be together.

Well, good work nonetheless.
