from the black and white photos, the first and last were stand out - the last is especially so when you look at it in full screen mode- nice composition, interesting lines and you don't get bored quickly at the picture itself.
from the color photos, the first and second are most appreciated by me - the first is kind of trippy - it took a moment to recognize what was going on in it before I understood it's a reflection. the second is visually interesting and active- for some unknown reason I think of a roller coaster looking at it.

post more of these

also, i think i'm going to impose on myself a moratorium on photographing those i suspect to be homeless. i've only taken one photo of a homeless guy, and it made me feel incredibly guilty.

if you go, "SAY CHEESE" before you snap, and they don't smile, then you don't snap.
If they smile, you, doks, have got yourself a pic of a smiling homeless dude or dudette.

GUILT FREE

Don't feel guilty. You're not exploiting them, you're documenting their experience. Maintain your juggernaut heart.

I'm inclined to side with Zeb here.

Your pics are great, Kris. I think I've said this before, but these photos afford a window into the thodoks account that no amount of your quippy wit ever will.

Bought a DSLR.
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/ ... t_sx500_is

It's at Costco with a bag and 8GB SD card for $250 (normally $330). No CMOS sensor, but it should be more than enough for me. My sub-compact is a Canon, so I'll be fairly familiar with the settings. I did a quick search for reviews and almost all were very positive.

 You're absolutely right. I should have just said camera. I just need something more than my sub-compact and cell phone.

I was sorting through some old stuff on my computer and came across these ones from a car trip around Ireland we did last year.
