i like how it builds as it goes. don't know the musical terminology for that, but works well. the harmonizing is real nice.

I liked it too. I was going to ask if the back-up vocals were you, until I read where you said not. It is nice harmonizing....back up vocals sound like the lead vocals but an octave higher...very nice.

Do you play all the instruments?

variious stereo effects were cool...I could detect them even from my lil' laptop

Thanks a lot. Yes, I did all the instruments. Also, just to make it clear, in the chorus there are three voices, two male voices (me) and a female one (not me)

Glad you liked it.

Thanks a lot dude.
This song made my not-so-recent break-up with my ex seems that was yesterday.
That was a compliment by the way.
Awesome song dude, very atmospheric =)
Keep on the good work.

Raziel: the guy with the two male voices and not one female one

That actually is a cool compliment. Thanks a lot. When I started writing it, I actually wanted it to be more positive but the memory of a break-up that's been years ago crept in so I went with that.

Who knows, maybe I do have a female voice that I just didn't use here. You should hear me sing Science Fiction/ Double Feature.

Good work, Raz. Also, I encourage you to participate in the "Name that tune using only 'dun dun' notation" thread in PJ Chat.

Thanks, pal. I already took a guess but it's difficult. That guy's rhythm is way off.

That was cool. Did you play all the instruments? Do you play in standard tuning? It might help your vocals a little bit if you tune down a half-step to Eb. For some people it ends up sounding even better.

So I never really looked at this thread again for some time...

Thanks a lot. Yes I did. I think one of the guitars wasn't in standard tuning, I turned it a whole step down so I could play the d minor like an e minor with a lot of open strings... so yeah. I wanted this song to be in d minor so it wouldn't really matter if I had tuned the guitar down. Plus, I wanted to see if I could pull this off vocally... since I've recorded this song I actually got a bit better at singing the higher parts but yeah... the recorded versions are usually done at a stage where I'm not 100% comfortable with the song yet... I just want to get the recording done so I can move on.

Thanks. I think I agree. Well.... either that or the piano should have been a little more interesting.
