Doesn't the composition lend itself to the aesthetic?
What I mean to say is that, if you remove post-processing from the equation, are those still pictures you want to take? I think those two t2b pictures in particular are great without all the post-processing fireworks, and with them they become spectacular.

Yeah and that's what I was getting at with that veiled response. The way those shots are composed is what interests me firsts and IMO contributes a large amount to their beauty, everything after that is just gravy. And gravy is delicious.
