The fact that all you seem to want to do here is paint Mecca as some overreacting drama queen sums up your intentions.

If you had really wanted to work out a misunderstanding to preserve a relationship with a friend, I'm confident the decision of any sane person would be to conduct it than private rather than making a spectacle on a message board.
