I just loved how at my orientation they emphasized that you can buy used books to save money. Well guess what? It just so happened every single freaking used book I'd go to buy would all of a sudden be upgraded or changed my upcoming semester. EVERYTIME. Bastards.

my parents used to pay for my books.

Let me know if you ever actually crack those textbooks.
Depending on who you live with and/or have as classmates, you can usually just borrow their text if/when you actually decide to read it. Or, the library should usually have a copy.

my roommate is a biology major, i'm a psych major. we dont have any classes together or in common. and its a small school, and the library probably only has older editions of the books
